What Types of Boats do we Sail?

Fox Valley Sailing School Fleet

The Fox Valley Sailing School maintains three fleets to accommodate the varying skill levels of our students.

  Optimist Prams

The Optimist is one of the most popular sailing dinghies in the world, and it is an ideal sailboat for young beginner sailors. The boat has a long history, and the simple hull design. Early models were easily crafted out of wood. All optimist sailboats in the FVSS program are newer models made of fiberglass.
